broken bells – the high road

I thought I’d watch 500 Days of Summer, the road race pens me in so, for one Sunday I’m trapped indoors for most of the day. What better then to do than watch a movie that I had postponed, I had reached that iffy point in my novel and there was nowhere to go. So I started but I just couldn’t do it, that first Smiths reference in the lift and I had to mute it. I just couldn’t deal with the movie, I felt like a drink, like a long drive but both were impossible.

Funny how you just can’t get through some things and sometimes it’s better to just let them play out in silence at the back of your head.
