Inter connectivity and Billy Bragg

Inter connectivity is quite the strange thing, you don’t know where it starts, you don’t know where it ends, you don’t know if its even got anything to do with you really or how you have supposedly gotten caught up within its grasp.

Perhaps you are at the fulcrum, seesawing between two parts, a constantly changing weighted start and an enticingly leveraged finish at the other, things move up and down but because you are at the fulcrum you don’t feel a thing, you just observe the ebb and flow.

A few weeks ago I was coming back from a business meeting which was held in Ascot, it snowed just a dusting and I thought it best to go to the airport slightly earlier than usual, the Virgin Lounge would more than compensate me for any potential Friday afternoon restlessness.

As I was waiting for my flight armed with an exotic cucumber based cocktail, I went to one of the available laptops and surfed the net, I ended up at  Billy Bragg’s blog, I needed to register before I could leave a comment but what I wanted to say was that my good friend James Neophytou tells this great story of how he came from work one evening in suit and tie, saw a poster for the show and decided on the spur of the moment that he would go. The gig was Billy’s

Talking poetry with the Taxman. When James entered fashionably late, in Accountant attire, Billy Bragg’s audience probably thought the Taxman had arrived. I never left that comment but when I got back the next morning and in the post I found a book which James had sent me a few weeks earlier, it was Billy Bragg’s  The Progressive Patriot how weird.
